There were many highlights at the Junior Theatre Celebration Australia this year but none could top the emotional duet of "For Good" from Wicked performed by original Australia cast member Lucy Durack, who played Glinda and 16 year old Zoe Foskett from Adelaide based youth musical theatre academy, Adelaide Youth Theatre.

As part of the Closing Ceremony at JTCOz Lucy Durack performed a song written by her friend Matthew Lee Robinson and then invited Zoe on stage to perform with her for the second song. After having an extremely tough year spent in and out of hospitals, Zoe has been battling Cystic Fibrosis and given a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform alongside her longtime idol, Lucy.

The Junior Theatre Celebration sees schools and drama academies from all over Australia travel to the Civic Theatre in Newcastle, NSW to perform their 10 minute versions of their Broadway JR. musicals, to learn from industry professionals and to celebrate their achievements. The event culminates in a Closing Ceremony that sees awards presented to outstanding groups, performances of new Broadway JR. musicals that school;s can perform and exclusive celebrity performances.

Wicked is a Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. It is based on the 1995 Gregory Maguire novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Lucy Durack played Glinda in the original Australia production that opened in 2008. Elphaba was played by Jemma Rix in the original Australia production. Zoe sang the part of Elphaba in "For Good" with Lucy on stage in Newcastle, a song about how friendship can change your life.

Zoe is a student from Adelaide Youth Theatre in South Australia and performed as a member of the Wicked cast in their recent 2018 production.
