Junior Theatre Festival Australia, in partnership with Music Theatre International Australasia and Travel Gang invite you to audition for the ultimate USA musical theatre performance adventure!
Each year, the Aussie All-Stars travel, accompanied by the team from JTF Australia, as a group, during the January school holidays to New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Successful auditionees immerse themselves in the lifestyle of a New York Broadway artist. Aussie All-Stars work collaboratively to develop and rehearse a performance piece under the guidance and direction of industry experts and performers. Students are also exposed to Broadway musicals, talk-back sessions with Broadway performers, exclusive performance workshops, masterclasses and of course have enough time to explore the iconic sights of New York.
In Altanta, Aussie All-Stars join thousands of like-minded young performers at the Junior Theatre Festival presented by iTheatrics. There, they perform their adjudication piece for feedback, attend skill development workshops presented by the world's best teaching artists, watch performances of brand new musicals and get advice from celebrity guests (past celebrities have included Zac Efron, Stephen Schwatrz, Pasek and Paul, Megan Hilty, Casey Levy and Darren Criss).
After JTF Atlanta, All-Stars head west to Los Angeles, where they enjoy: time at Universal Studios, including a back-lot tour onto the set of hundreds of well-known films; spending time on Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk Of Fame; two full days of Disney magic at the happiest place on earth, including a behind the scenes Disney Performing Arts workshop, and of course, rides, rides and more rides.
Past Aussie All-Stars and their families have called this group adventure "a unique, one-of-kind program that was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!"
Parents and siblings over the age of 5 are invited to join the adventure as chaperones!
Auditions are held each year at the Junior Theatre Festival Australia on the last weekend in October at the Civic Threatre in Newcastle.
